Travel Tips & Regulations

Passengers are encouraged to take a few minutes to prepare before coming to the airport. With some changes to I.D. requirements and continued restrictions on taking liquids and gels through security, knowing the rules will help you save time at the airport.

Regulations -- Transport Canada has introduced a Passenger Protect program that includes changes to ID requirements for passengers flying within Canada and a Specified Persons List of individuals who may pose an immediate threat to aviation security, should they board a flight. Please visit the Transport Canada website for more information, to ensure you have everything you need before you get here.

Packing Tips -- To get through passenger security screening faster, just follow these helpful packing tips provided by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority. If you are flying with Air Canada please note effective immediately, Air Canada is modifying its baggage policy specifically relative to hockey and ski equipment. Checking In -- You can now check-in from the comfort of your home or office for most airlines serving YLW through our web check-in feature. Visit the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority website for more information on pre-board screening and how to prepare for your trip.

Another time-saving tip is to use one of our self-service kiosks, which are conveniently located inside the terminal building.
