2010 Winner: Kelly & Keith Robinson

Kelly and Keith Robinson began to develop the first ‘living roof’ on a residence in Kelowna in 2009, completing the project in February 2010. This green roof is an oasis for birds and a pleasing sight for neighbours who overlook the above-ground landscape. It’s an innovative way to balance the negative effects of development, re-using the land on which the structure is built by moving it to the roof.

Runners up are the Creeks development in Kettle Valley and Dave & Sandy Taylor.
