Landfill Rates - Effective January 1, 2012
Residential Waste
Tipping fees for residential garbage are $2.50/bag for quantities from one to six bags. There is a $65 fee per metric tonne (pro-rated for portions thereof), or a minimum charge of $8 for 250 kg or less.
Yard Waste
There is no charge for the disposal of yard waste, including prunings up to eight inches (20 cm) in diameter totaling less than 450 kg. Loads over this amount are charged $40.00/metric ton.
Stumps, logs and limbs over eight inches (20 cm) are assessed a fee of $65.00/metric tonne for loads weighing 250 kg or more. The minimum $8.00 fee is charged for those loads under 250 kg.
Commercial and Construction Waste
Demolition and construction waste, with the exception of Gypsum board, is also charged at $65.00/ tonne with a $8.00 minimum charge for amounts less than 250 kg. Gypsum board is charged at $145.00 per metric tonne.
Clean, untreated dimensional lumber is charged at $10.00/ metric tonne for loads greater than 250kg. 250 kg or less has a minimum fee of $8.00.
