Register a Complaint
Complaints are accepted at City Hall in person, by telephone, in writing or by voice mail.
Anonymous complaints are not accepted. All informants must provide their name, address and telephone number. This information is strictly confidential and will not be released to anyone without the informant’s consent, or if required in a court of law through due process.
Complainants must specify the address and the nature of the problem causing concern. Complaints are then classified according to the following priority system:
- Health and safety
- City liability
- Nuisances
- Nominal infractions.
Once a complaint is received and classified investigation begins. Substantive infractions are resolved through a combination of education, persuasion and enforcement as required.
