Official Community Plan
The Kelowna Official Community Plan (OCP) provides a policy framework for Council by addressing issues such as housing, transportation, infrastructure, parks, economic development and the natural and social environment.
Official Community Plans deal with issues expected to arise over the coming twenty-year period. These plans are typically reviewed/refined every five years to ensure that the OCP continues to meet community needs.
Kelowna 2030: Greening our Future
Should Kelowna grow upward or outward? How do we protect green spaces, water and air quality as we grow? How can we have more housing that is affordable?
We want to hear your ideas on how sustainable principles can guide the development of the new community plan for 2030. See the Kelowna2030 Plan page.

Council adopted the current OCP Bylaw in June 1995 with a major update in March 2002. Revised Future Land Use, Road Network and Financing chapters and mapping were approved by Council on January 2004.
Please note some of the map files are very large and may be time consuming to download (20 min) without a high-speed connection. Blank pages in individual chapters indicate where small versions of the respective maps would be inserted in a printed document.
