Mayor's Environmental Expo

2010 Mayor's Enviro ExpoThe Mayor's Environmental Expo, brought to you by FortisBC, is a fun, free event for school-aged children, showcasing local organizations and initiatives that complement the City of Kelowna’s commitment to a greener future.

The 2011 Expo took place at Mission Creek Regional Park (2363 Springfield Road) on May 19. The Regional District of Central Okanagan donated the venue for the event and provided guided "Walking Nature's Way" walks.

Students had the chance to interact with educational and interpretive displays, watch engaging presentations in the amphitheatre, participate in Regional District of Central Okanagan  guided nature walks and meet our Mayor.

Mayor's Environmental Achievement Awards

To complement the Expo, the Mayor presents the Environmental Achievement Awards  which recognize businesses, groups and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the quality of the environment.
