Mayor's Environmental Expo
The Mayor's Environmental Expo showcases business, corporate, government and non-profit environmental initiatives in the Central Okanagan. The 2010 Expo took place at Mission Creek Regional Park (2363 Springfield Road) on May 28, 2010.
Schools took part in fun, eco-activities including a trivia contest, Environmental Survivor and Environmental Jeopardy.
Out & about in the Park?
Help celebrate BC’s first annual Solar Days. Drop by and take in the Solar Car races (11 am & 1 pm). Watch as local students races their cars against the clock and face a sudden-elimination challenge!
Mayor's Environmental Achievement Awards
In conjunction with the Expo, the Mayor presents the Environmental Achievement Awards which recognize businesses, groups and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the quality of the environment.
