How Do I Get Training For My Neigbourhood?
If your block has already organized a Neighbourhood Watch program have your block captain or co-captain contact the Fire Department at the numbers below. Arrangements can then be made for a training session.
If you are not organized with Neighbourhood Watch canvas your neighbours to determine their interest in a training session. A meeting would normally require 5 to 10 households, but it depends on whether you live in a built-up area or in a rural district. Once you have an idea of the number of interested participants, call us at the numbers below to arrange a meeting.
Meetings are typically held in the evening during the week and last approximately 1½ hours. Volunteer facilitators are members of the Emergency Social Services organization who have all received training through the Provincial Emergency Program.
