Community Heritage Commission
The Community Heritage Commission advises City Council on heritage related matters including development proposals affecting heritage properties; municipal designation of buildings, structures and sites; adaptive re-use of heritage buildings and on-going community heritage management initiatives.
The Commission consists of seven members including one representative from each of the Kelowna Museum Association, the Okanagan Historical Society and the Central Okanagan Heritage Society. Four members are appointed from the city at large. Up to two members of Council may be appointed as non-voting liaison members. Members are appointed by Council for three year terms.
