Land Use Management
As part of the Community Sustainability Division, Land Use Management reviews development proposals to ensure the Official Community Plan and other City policies are being implemented and followed.
This department guides the development within our town centres, urban areas, and rural areas, in addition to processing applications for properties within environmentally sensitive areas.
This department is comprised of two branches:
- Urban Land Use
Responsible for developments within the town centres and urban areas.
- Environment & Land Use
Responsible for development within the environmentally sensitive areas and rural/suburban areas
Permit Centre
The one-window Permit Centre located on the 2nd floor of City provides support for planning, inspections and licensing inquiries.
Please check in at the Permit Center counter to:
- Meet with the planner on duty
- Meet with a plans examiner
- Meet with a development engineering specialist
- Submit permit applications
The permit Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
